Source: Associate Cloud Engineer certification now available in German from Google Cloud
You’ve heard it before, but it warrants repeating: cloud computing is no longer an emerging technology. In fact, according to IDG, 77% of businesses are using at least one application in the cloud. As a result, hiring individuals capable of managing cloud workloads is at an all-time high. To help, we’ve developed on-demand training and hands-on labs so that individuals can ramp up their Google Cloud skills.
In May, we introduced the Associate Cloud Engineer certification to help organizations identify individuals who can demonstrate a solid working knowledge of Google Cloud products and technologies. Responding to global demand, we’ve been busy developing courses, labs, and certifications in multiple languages. Today, we announce that the Associate Cloud Engineer is now available in German.
Building up the required skill set and know-how is one of the key levers of success when moving to cloud. Says Thomas Kinateder, Head of Google Cloud Professional Services in DACH, “Strong momentum of the cloud market in DACH means the need for localized training and certifications is becoming even more essential for our customers to keep pace. Having the Associate Cloud Engineer in German language will make it even easier for our community in DACH to successfully prove the development of critical cloud skills.”
Since its launch, the Cloud Engineer has been our fastest growing certification across all regions. It serves as an entry point into the Google Cloud portfolio of certifications and proves that an individual is familiar with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem and core services, and has the necessary skills to configure and deploy on GCP. It’s also getting a lot of attention as businesses are no longer looking for a one-size-fits-all approach to their cloud strategy. Instead, they are looking for the right features to achieve a specified goal, which means for many IT professionals, knowing just one platform isn’t enough.
Morgan Jones, an IT professional, was eager to get certified because he sees “the future of succeeding and delivering business value from the cloud is to adopt a multi-cloud strategy. This certification can really help me succeed in the GCP environment.”
The certification is recommended for IT professionals with 6 months experience using GCP. “You have to have experience on the GCP Console to do well on this exam. If you haven’t used the platform and you just cram for the exam, you will not do well. The hands-on labs helped me prepare for that,” says Jones.
The Google Cloud training and certification teams offer numerous ways to increase your Google Cloud know-how. Here are a few recommendations:
